Snowy Owl Inn Hires Head Chef, Opens Dining Room

Waterville Valley Resort's Snowy Owl Inn will be reopening its dining room to guests and the public on Friday, Nov. 28, just in time for ski season.
Snowy Owl Inn general manager, Steve Hodges, announced the hiring of George Dascoulias to serve as head chef and food and beverage manager for the Inn. Dascoulias has had a long career in the food service industry. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and for the last 33 years has been the chef/owner of Mr. D's Restaurant in Franklin, NH. Dascoulias has also worked at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton, Massachusetts, the Sheraton Lincoln in Worcester, Massachusetts and the Key Bridge Marriot outside of Washington D.C.
When asked about his plans for the Snowy Owl Inn's kitchen, George said, "I'm excited to bring quality, affordable food service back to the Inn's dining room." He added, "We will also begin serving a hot breakfast to Inn guests daily and on weekends to both Inn guests and the public starting Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 28."
The Snowy Owl Inn is a great spot for groups. According to Steve Hodges, "We have meeting and breakout rooms that can accommodate groups as small as five and as large as 200. And with Chef Dascoulias coming onboard, we'll be able to provide catering services for functions on and off-site, ranging from pizza parties and buffets to elegant plated service." The Inn plans to have its Elbow Room bar open and available for guests during the winters ski season.
